Coalfield Web Materials provides a unique insight into the social, political and cultural life of the South Wales Coalfield during the 19th and 20th centuries. The site includes:

• clips from audio and video interviews, ranging from significant political and trade union leaders to men who worked in the coal mines and their families

• photographs which illustrate all aspects of life in the coalfield

The site is based on the holdings of the South Wales Coalfield Collection at University of Wales Swansea. This project is an AGOR partner together with the Llechwefan website.
